Access to technology is another obstacle for individuals with disabilities.
The purpose of this lending library is to provide individuals with the opportunity to trial different types of Assistive Technology prior to purchase to determine if it will meet their needs. This will avoid AT a (use of equipment is discontinued after it is obtained and used for a short amount of time).
Individuals will register an account with the library, take equipment on loan and return it back after a designated amount of time in order for other individuals to request an equipment loan.
Two locations will house equipment:
- 1 Father DeValles Boulevard, Suite 311, Fall River, MA
- 70 Mill Road, Acushnet, MA
Both locations are located on bus routes and are accessible.
